Watery Wednesday

This is a fountain that is in the center of a man-made lake in Fountain Park, in the town of Fountain Hills, Arizona. It is considered to be one of the world's highest fountains, shooting water 560 feet into the air, and is visible for many miles. If you are at the park on a warm, windy day, you can feel the mist from the fountain spray on your face. It has a nice cooling effect!

Fountain Hills is surrounded by beautiful views of Superstition Mountains, Four Peaks, and the McDowell Mountains.

This is a great shot of the Fountain Hills fountain. If you've not attended in the past, they put on one heck of an arts and crafts festival. This year it will be on Nov. 13th. Think comfy shoes and sunblock.

That was hilarious. "menisman". I know, is that not a hoot, a judge who shoots people with rock salt. I guess it beats buckshot. The year would probably be in the 60s and everything was politically correct. Good old boys, that sort of thing. Thanks for leaving a comment. It is funny but I can barely remember the old guy. You would not see me trespassing. Great fountain.

Hello Pat,

Thank you for leaving your comment.

I worked for 6 years in Fountain Hills and passed the fountain every day. It is an amazing sight.

I have many friends that are full timers. do you belong to any of the yahoo groups for rv'ers?
It was something we hoped to do but since the economy got bad we took our motel off the market and decided that we might as well sit tight for now. I envy you

Anyway beautiful photo.

Ahhh PAT! I used to live in Arizona. I went to school at ASU! I was there last weekend! Some of my good friends lived in fountain hills. So cool isn't it? I remember going there as a child with my parents and we waited for what seemed like ever for it to explode and finally we left. But as we drove away, sure enough it exploded. I remember being turned around in the backseat, with my arms over the headrest as that crazy fountain disapeared in the distance. Some things just stay with you.
